I am an avid traveller.  However, as a keen student of anthropology, I prefer to live abroad in order to truly dig into the culture and the way of life.  I spent a year as a high school foreign exchange student in rural Northeastern Thailand living with a local family.  The experience radically altered my worldview and served as a catalyst for the lifestyle I’m leading now. In fact, I reached an interesting milestone recently: since first moving abroad on my own at barely 17, I’ve lived abroad more than not (nearly 4 years total).

Where I’ve Lived:

United States (Wyoming, New York and Oklahoma), Thailand (Yasothon, Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai), Kenya (Nairobi), Cambodia (Phnom Penh)

Where I’ve Been:

United States, Canada, Mexico, Greece, Turkey, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma (Myanmar), Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, China SAR (Hong Kong and Macau), Sri Lanka Kenya and Tanzania

Future Travel Plans:

  • Nepal
  • India
  • Philippines
  • Japan

September 2014

  • United Kingdom (for postgraduate studies)
  • …. and finally Europe!!
